Man arrested for cheating cooperatives of more than Rs 15 crore

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a person on the charge of cheating people of more than Rs 150 million from Patandhoka of Lalitpur Metropolitan City-3.

According to the District Police Range, Lalitpur, Purushottam Pahadi, who is absconding on the case of cooperative fraud, was arrested on March 29.

Police said that they arrested 20 people including Sunita Kumari Shrestha and a letter from the Ministry of Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Hetauda.

Pahadi has been found to have cheated Rs 1,62,65,920. The Lalitpur District Court has remanded him in custody for 5 days for further investigation.
