Kathmandu. Akshay Golyan, Chairman and Managing Director of Golyan Group, has initiated efforts to change the style of corporate work after assuming the leadership. In the meantime, he has started the practice of communicating directly with the employees through a program called ‘Varta’.
The 37-year-old posted a video on LinkedIn on Tuesday morning. In the video, he has a direct conversation with the employees working at the corporate office Golyan Tower.
In the post, he said that the ideas, questions and challenges of the employees are important for the future of the organization, and that their voices have exposed the true power of the organization. “Your voices and perspectives have shown the real power that we have,” he said.
According to Golyan, the goal is to listen to the complaints, suggestions and experiences of the employees through the ‘talks’ program and to incorporate them into the decision-making process. “Now my commitment is to translate your belief into development through decisions,” he added.
Golyan Group, which has a history of nearly six decades, currently employs about 10,000 employees and workers. The group, which is considered to be the largest employer in Nepal, has started a dialogue with the employees of the corporate office in the first phase.
