Kanchanpur. The Transport Management Office, Mahendranagar has completely prohibited the entry of middlemen inside the office premises.

The office has taken this decision by issuing a formal notice after complaints of unnecessary inconvenience, harassment and financial fraud to the service seekers.

According to officiating chief of the office, Rabindra Chaudhary, the middlemen have been barred from entering the office after public complaints were received time and again that some people were luring service seekers with the pretext of making vehicle insurance, renewing their insurance and issuing health certificates.

According to him, such activities also cause mismanagement and delay in the services provided by the office. He said that if anyone is found doing such an act or enters the prohibited area and harass the service seeker, it will be written to the concerned body for action as per the law.

The Transport Management Office has urged the service seekers to contact the concerned branch or employee of the office directly for their work. The office has requested the service recipients not to pay extra amount except the prescribed fee and there is no need of intermediaries to avail any service.

Chaudhary said that such step has been taken to provide easy, fast and transparent service to the service seekers. He said that it is expected that the service recipients would be relieved from unnecessary hassles and extra expenses after the control of middlemen and the service delivery would be more systematic.
