After the continuous fall in the stock market due to the issue of money laundering, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle is scheduled to call the Finance Secretary, officials of the ministry’s concerned division, Securities Board of Nepal and NEPSE on Thursday to discuss the issue. Today, Finance Minister Dr. He said this during a meeting with Wagle and his team including lawmaker Hari Dhakal.

During a meeting with lawmaker Dhakal and investor Gopal Swami and his team at the ministry, Minister Wagle said that no investors in the market should be worried. “During the meeting, Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has said that he will call the finance secretary, officials of the ministry’s concerned division, Securities Board of Nepal and NEPSE on Thursday to discuss the issue.

Swamy said that the minister said that there is no reason for the market to fall due to the current rumours. The minister said that the government was ready to adopt a policy that would be in the interest of investors as he understood the market very well.

During the meeting, Minister Wagle said that the RSP would abide by the issues related to the share market in letter and spirit.

“We will restructure NEPSE, bring NRNs into the share market and follow the good practices of neighbouring countries,” he quoted the minister as saying, “We will implement the promises made in the share market in letter and spirit with time.” Not everything will happen today or tomorrow. ’’
