Kathmandu. At least 13 people were killed and several others injured in an airstrike in Islamshahr on Monday morning.
According to Fars news agency and Noor News, the attack took place in the early hours of the morning at a residential building. The incident has caused fear and panic among area residents and families.
The motive for the attack is not yet clear. Responsibility for the parties involved has not been made public, and neither Israel nor the United States have commented.
Security officials have taken control of the scene and rescue operations have been intensified to treat the injured. The local administration, security forces and health teams have given priority to the search and relief work.
According to experts, the airstrikes targeting residential areas are a sensitive issue from the point of view of international human rights and war law. Such attacks, which have a direct impact on the civilian population, can also have long-term social and psychological effects.
The attack came hours after US President Donald Trump threatened to “open hell” if the Strait of Hormuz was not reopened. This has increased regional tensions and has also sent warning signals at the international level.
