Iran Launches Missile Attacks on Israel

Kathmandu. Israeli firefighters are searching for two missing people after a missile hit a residential building in the northern city of Haifa. Two others were killed in the attack.

A missile hit the seven-storey building, destroying parts of the building. The army said rescuers were searching among the rubble and large concrete blocks.

Elad Adri, the head of Israel’s Interior Front Command, said four people were still missing. “We have an area of great destruction,” he said in a video statement. Israel’s fire and rescue service said two of the four victims had been found dead.

A military spokesman told AFP that the missile had hit the building “directly” and that it was confirmed that the missile had been fired from Iran.

David Adom, an Israeli emergency service spokesman, said four people were injured, including a 10-month-old baby who was hit in the head. The 82-year-old man was in a critical condition, but the hospital later said his condition was stable. The elderly man was said to have been “wounded by a heavy object and an explosion”. Three others suffered injuries from fragments and explosions.

Dozens of security and rescue teams were deployed at the site. MDA staff received information from local residents that some people were trapped under the debris. Rescuers were able to remove large pieces of concrete and rescue the elderly man.

Missile Attack Continues

On Monday, the Israeli military detected a new missile attack from Iran. On every strike, Israeli defensive systems are working to stop the threat.

Iran has been firing missiles daily since February 28. It is in retaliation for a joint U.S.-Israeli offensive that has killed Iran’s top leaders, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Since the beginning of the conflict, Israeli and U.S. airstrikes have targeted Iran’s missile production facilities and nuclear facilities.
