Kathmandu. The government has appointed 6 members to the National Planning Commission. Arjun Jung Thapa and Prof. Dr. Arjun Thapa have been elected as members of the National Planning Commission. Sanjay Acharya, Dr. Devendra Gauchan, Reshu Aryal, Prof. Dr. Sudan Jha and Dr. Pukar Malla has been appointed.

Thapa is a former secretary at the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Dr. Acharya is a professor of economics at Tribhuvan University.

Similarly, Dr. Gauchan is a senior fellow at the Institute for Integrated Development Studies (IIDS). Aryal is an educationist. Prior to this, Balen Shah was the Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
