The project imparted off-season vegetable farming and financial literacy training to 20 members of Magar community targeting members of Masto Lafa Bheja (women’s group) of Rishing-8, Paltyang.
Project chief Shyamji Bhandari said that the farmers participating in the training have been provided with hand tractors, seeds, hazari and necessary equipment for tunnel farming.
Plumbing, electrician, tailoring and weaving, goat rearing, vegetable farming and financial literacy training were imparted to the project-affected locals before this. So far, 339 men and 279 women have undergone such training. The main objective of the training was to improve livelihood.
