FonePay launches nationwide financial literacy campaign on the occasion of Global Money Week

Kathmandu. FonePay, a leading digital payment service in Nepal, has successfully completed the nationwide Financial Literacy Campaign on the occasion of Global Money Week.

 The campaign, centered around the theme of “Smart Money Talks”, aimed to sensitize the youths about responsible financial behaviours, digital safety and smart financial decisions. FonePay has expanded its nationwide reach and has directly benefitted more than 1,090 students through 18 sessions in 12 colleges in 6 cities of 4 provinces and 28 schools in 9 cities of 5 provinces.

Students were taught about spending management, savings, and accurate financial information through activities such as recreational games, quizzes and drama. In the Financial Literacy Student Visit Program, more than 40 students from Kathmandu valley were invited by FonePay to its office where interactive games were provided practical information on digital payments and financial security.

FonePe reiterates its commitment towards building a safe and responsible digital economy through such campaigns and will continue to do so in the days ahead.
