Kathmandu. Gaza’s civil defense agency said 10 people, including a child, were killed in an Israeli attack on the northern Palestinian Territory in Gaza.

Violence has continued in Gaza despite a ceasefire that went into effect on October 10, with Israel and Hamas accusing each other of violating the ceasefire.

Mahmoud Basal, a spokesman for the Hamas Civil Protection Agency, which runs the rescue service, said the victims were killed and several others wounded in an attack on a police vehicle in Gaza City.

Gaza’s Interior Ministry also said in a statement that Israeli warplanes targeted police vehicles in the city center.

Earlier in the day, another person was killed in Israeli shelling in the northern Beth Lahia area, he said.

The military said earlier on Wednesday that Hamas militants had been hit in the truck.

AFP footage showed Palestinians gathered around the body, which was carried on a stretcher and carried to the funeral through a road surrounded by rubble.

The civil protection agency said several people were killed in another attack on Tuesday near the intersection of the al-Sati refugee camp in Gaza City.

Five bodies have been recovered from an Israeli bombing at al-Shifa hospital in al-Shati.

The military did not immediately comment on the latest attack.

The ceasefire comes two years after the Palestinian Hamas movement launched a cross-border offensive on Israel on October 7, 2023.

At least 757 people have been killed in Gaza since the ceasefire went into effect, according to Gaza’s health ministry.

The Israeli military said five of its soldiers were killed in Gaza during the same period.
