Kathmandu. KATHMANDU — The government has formed a five-member commission of Property Investigation to collect, verify and investigate the property details of key political officials and high-ranking officials who held public posts in the last two decades.
Government spokesperson and Education Minister Sasmit Pokharel shared that the meeting of the Council of Ministers decided to form a commission under the convenorship of former judge of the Supreme Court, Rajendra Kumar Bhandari.
The mandate of the commission will be to systematically collect and authenticate the property details of the persons holding public office from 2062/063 to 2082/83 and to carry out necessary investigations.
The other members of the commission are former judge Purushottam Parajuli, former judge Chandiraj Dhakal, former Deputy Inspector General of Police Ganesh KC and chartered accountant Prakash Lamsal.
