Nawalparasi. The Transport Management Office, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) has collected Rs 233 million 16 thousand 22 revenue in the first nine months of the current fiscal year. Tek Bahadur Nepali, chief of the office, said that the revenue was collected under various headings including vehicle tax, driving license, vehicle registration from mid-July to mid-April of the current fiscal year.

According to him, Rs 192.422 million revenue was collected in the review period, Rs 37.492 million was collected in vehicle tax, Rs 37.492 million was collected in the same period, Rs 2,329,990 was collected under the title of income revenue from the transport sector and Rs 771,528 was collected as other administrative service tax. ”

The Transport Management Office has launched a special campaign in April to make tax collection systematic and effective, said Nepali. Under this campaign, special priority was given to the renewal of billbook, check pass, route permit and driving license.

“The provincial government had forwarded a special plan to streamline the tax collection process with the goal of increasing revenue. ”

Information Officer Tek Narayan Tiwari said that the Transport Office has made special arrangements to provide easy service to the service seekers. Tiwari informed that additional staff has been deputed to manage the crowd of service seekers coming to pay tax.

“Arrangement of separate counters has been made to expedite the process of availing service”, he said, adding that arrangements have been made to provide documents and other information required for tax payment. In the same period of the last fiscal year 2081/82, the Transport Management Office Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) had collected Rs 235.4 million in revenue.
