Kathmandu. There is some influence of westerly and local winds in Nepal at present. Due to its influence, there will be cloudy in the mountainous and hilly areas of the country while the weather will be mainly clear in the Tarai.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, moderate rain/÷snowfall along with thunder and lightning is likely in Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces at present. There is the possibility of heat wave in the Terai region of Madhes Province, Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Province.

Similarly, there will be partly cloudy in the mountainous region of Koshi Province and in the hilly region of Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Karnali Province tonight. Light rain and snowfall is likely at one or two places of the mountainous region of Koshi Province.
