KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a charge sheet against the office bearers of the school management committee, former headmaster and the then account assistant on the charge of embezzling the library grant amount of Manedhunga Secondary School in Kushe Rural Municipality-2 of Jajarkot.

The anti-graft body has sought a fine of Rs 1,741,446 each from former school management committee chair Hari Chandra Jaisi, former principal Dhan Bahadur Singh, account assistant Dhirendra Bahadur Singh and Rs 100,000 fine each against former school management committee chair Hari Chandra Jaisi.

According to the commission, they have embezzled Rs 17,41,446 by showing that they had borrowed loans against the law with the intention of causing loss to the government/public institutions in collusion. The commission found that they had committed the offence under Section 17 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2059.
