Bagmati Province’s office-bearers, members accept resignation

Kathmandu. A meeting of the Bagmati Province Council of Ministers held today has decided to accept the resignation of the office-bearers and members of the troubled cooperative societies in Bagmati Province with effect from January 19.

The meeting also decided to reshuffle the responsibility of the provincial secretary and appoint Khusiram Adhikari as the secretary of the Ministry of Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation of Bagmati Province, said spokesperson Tamang. The meeting also approved the directive for the distribution of financial grants at the local level.

Damodar Khanal of Bakaiya Rural Municipality-5 in Makwanpur district has been appointed as the chief political advisor to Chief Minister Indra Bahadur Baniya.

The meeting also appointed Krishna Raj Adhikari of Dhading as the chair and Ashok Shrestha of Makwanpur as its members, according to government spokesperson and Minister for Financial Affairs and Planning Prabhat Tamang.

The meeting also decided to approve the resignation of Dr Arjun Sapkota, a senior officer of the 11th level working in the health service. The meeting also appointed Dr Prem Narayan Aryal as a member of Bagmati Province University. The meeting also approved the performance evaluation policy of civil servants in the state.

According to Spokesperson Tamang, the meeting also approved the Academic Scholarship Directive 2072 BS and appointed Shankha Buddha Lama as the chairman of Namobuddha Area Development Committee.

The meeting also approved the first amendment formation order related to the management and operation of Tribhuvan Park. The meeting also approved the presentation of the Province Promotion First Draft Act 2083 and the Province National Forest Act 2083 to the Provincial Assembly. The meeting also approved the Poverty Alleviation Policy 2082.
