Krishna Sitaula ousted as NC’s National Assembly parliamentary party leader

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) has removed Krishna Sitaula from the post of parliamentary party leader of the National Assembly.

Leader of the House of Representatives (HoR), Bhishma Raj Angdembe, has removed Sitaula from his post.

As per the NC parliamentary party statute, the leader of the parliamentary party in the House of Representatives will elect the parliamentary party leader of the National Assembly. Accordingly, Angdembe removed Sitaula from the post and appointed Kamala Panth as the parliamentary party leader.

Sitaula is not in favour of not allowing the special general convention to be held and the Supreme Court has recognized the special general convention.
