This is the legend

According to the religious texts, Hiranyakashipu captured all the three worlds. He made the world in his own way. I made many efforts to convince everyone that I am the master of the entire universe and that there is no one greater than me. Devotee Prahlad was born in the house of Hiranyakashipu. Prahlad was the son of the demon king Hiranyakashipu, but he was interested in Hari Bhakti from an early age.

Seeing this, the demon king Hiranyakashipu tried to remind Prahlad that he was the lord of the world and that there was no greater Hari than him, but Prahlad gave him the opposite answer, calling him a frog in a well.TAG_OPEN_div_35 Hearing this, Hiranyakashipu got angry and sent Prahlad to the guru to teach him that he could not be killed because he was his son.

Prahlad left his studies there and went towards Hari Bhakti. The Guru tried to explain a lot, but Prahlad did not give up his devotion to Hari. He also engaged the other demon sons who were there in devotion to Hari. Seeing this, the Guru also gave up and sent him back to the demon king Hiranyakashipu. Hiranyakashipu again tried to convince Prahlad, but Prahlad told him that there was no greater knowledge than devotion to Hari.

Hiranyakashipu got angry and tied Prahlad’s hands and feet and left him in the path of the elephant, but the elephant could not see Prahlad and crush him. Hiranyakashipu tied Prahlad and forced him to be thrown into the sea, Prahlad was thrown into the ocean but Hari Kripa and Lord Vishnu himself came and saved Prahlad.

After giving knowledge to Prahlad, the Lord disappeared. After a few days, Hari attained enlightenment and returned home. Seeing Prahlad, Hiranyakashipu started reminding again. Prahlad reiterated that there is no one greater than Hari and that Hari is everywhere. Angry Hiranyakashipu, he said, “If your Hari is everywhere, then show Hari in front of me.” Prahlad meditated on Hari and invoked Vishnu. Within a few minutes, Lord Vishnu appeared in the form of Narasimha from the pillar. Seeing this, Hiranyakashipu cut the pillar with a sword. Lord Narasimha also got angry and came forward to kill Hiranyakashipu. Half of Lord Narasimha’s body was that of a lion and the other half of a man’s.

Narasimha was neither an animal nor a man. When Hiranyakashipu was killed. It was dusk. There was neither sun nor darkness at night. Then Lord Narasimha put Hiranyakashipu on his lap in the middle of the house and killed him with his nails. After killing all the promises of Brahmaji, the whole world started burning with the anger of Narasimha.

Gods and goddesses like Brahma, Shiva, Lakshmi and others came and prayed to pacify Narasimha’s anger. But the anger grew. Finally, when Prahlad prayed, Narasimha’s anger subsided. After giving knowledge to Prahlad, Narasimha disappeared. Prahlad also paid attention to Hari Bhakti and took up the royal lesson. Lord Vishnu incarnated Dattatreya to teach Prahlad knowledge. Dattatreya also taught Prahlad a lot of knowledge.
