Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: A total of 21 candidates have filed their nomination for the post of Director General of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).

According to the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, 21 people have applied for the post of Director General till date.

Prabhakar Chandra Mallik, Utsav Raj Kharel, Shyam Kishor Sah, Pramod Kumar Chaudhary and Murari Prasad Poudel have been elected as directors. Jashoda Subedi, Jagarnath Niraula, Bishnu Gautam, Premnath Thakur, Dr Trilochan Poudel, Devendra Prasad Pandey, Teknath Sitaula, Umesh Kumar Panthi, Dipendra Shrestha, Gyanendra Bhul, Subhash Jha, Mukesh Dangol and Sanjay Kumar have applied for the post.

The Ministry had sought applications on April 26 after the then Director General of CAN, Pradip Adhikari, was suspended.
