Kathmandu. The Ministry of Finance has completed the budget with the participation of the departmental ministers of nine ministries.

The discussion on the budget began at 11:00 am on Monday and ended at 7:30 pm.

The discussion that began on Monday as per the timetable set by the Budget and Programme Division of the Ministry will continue till Tuesday. Talks with the Ministry of Home Affairs began on Monday.

After this, the budget discussion was held with the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration and Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation.

Finance Minister Dr. Under the leadership of Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle, Finance and Revenue Secretary at the Ministry of Finance, coordinator and members of the Budget Writing Committee, Chief of Budget and Programme Division of the Ministry and thematic section chiefs of the Division held discussions with the ministers, secretaries and heads of responsible divisions of the mentioned ministries about the outline, policies and programmes of the upcoming budget and resource management.

Minister for Labor and Social Security Ramji Yadav, Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Gauri Kumari, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Dr. Baburam Bhattarai were present in the meeting. Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Youth and Sports Sasmit Pokharel, Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration, Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Pratibha Rawal and secretaries of concerned ministries were present in the meeting.

The budget of the remaining ministries will be discussed tomorrow.
