Kathmandu. 29 officials of the Ministry of Finance have been relieved of their posts.
The government has relieved the directors and chief executives of the board of directors and executive chiefs who had taken political appointments in the past as per the sub-section (1) of the Ordinance made to make special provision regarding the discharge of public officials.
The government has relieved 29 employees of the Ministry of Finance through an ordinance. The ministry has relieved the directors and CEOs of the Employees Provident Fund, Citizen Investment Trust, Nepal Chartered Accountant, Deposit and Credit Protection Corporation, Insurance Authority of Nepal and Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON).
Chairman of Employees Provident Fund Bhupal Baral (incumbent Revenue Secretary of the Government of Nepal) and Member Dr. Pramod Kumar Shrestha were relieved of their posts. Dhaniram Sharma, Ishwor Karki and Binod Thapa are the joint secretaries.
Member Pvt. Ltd. Dr. Tara Prasad Bhusal, Devendra Raman Khanal and Jitendra Dhital are the administrators of the PADT.
Likewise, Tulsi Prasad Ghimire, Tulsi Prasad Ghimire, Hemanta Raj Ramali, Expert Director and Parbat Kumar Karki are the executive directors of the committee.
The three members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal are Kumar Rai, Than Prasad Pagyani (Joint Secretary) and Shyam Prasad Bhandari (Joint Secretary). The board has five members — Manmohan Kafle, Jitendra Kumar Mishra, Durga Prasad Gyawali, Manish Raj Upreti and Bidur Luitel — as members.
