Kathmandu. Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has taken a loan of Rs 36 billion to buy aircraft and now it has increased to Rs 55.04 billion.
The amount has to be paid as per the payment schedule.
According to the 63rd annual report of the Auditor General, Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) had taken a loan of Rs 36 billion, including Rs 22 billion from the Employees Provident Fund and Rs 12 billion from the Citizen Investment Fund, for the purchase of A-320 and A-330 aircraft.
The remaining amount of principal and interest due to non-payment of principal and interest has reached Rs 31.33 billion to Employees Provident Fund and Rs 21.12 billion to Citizen Investment Trust. The amount has to be paid as per the payment schedule, the report states.
