Humla. With the beginning of the rainy season, the number of Indian tourists visiting Mansarovar Kailash has increased in Simkot.

A total of 169 tourists have arrived here in just four days after the arrival of tourists from Nepalgunj to Hilsa from the district headquarters Simkot via Hilsa. A total of 169 pilgrims arrived at Simkot Airport to pay homage to Kailash Mansarovar via Humla, according to Simkot Airport Chief Mahendra Singh. According to him, 147 Indian and 22 foreign tourists arrived at Simkot in four days.

A total of 47 pilgrims have arrived Simikot on Summit Air’s plane on Saturday alone. Of the 23 Nepalis who arrived here today, they had to stay at Simkot as they did not have permits to go to Kailash Mansarovar. As per the decision of the Council of Ministers on April 4, 23 Indian pilgrims will stay in Simkot due to delay in the issuance of permit due to public holidays on Saturday and Sunday.

It is believed that the number of Indian religious tourists visiting Mansarovar Kailash is expected to increase in the last four days since the beginning of the arrival. After the massive earthquake of 2072 BS, the arrival of Indian tourists through Hilsa border point had started. In the meantime, tourists had stopped coming due to the closure of Hilsana during the Corona period.

Last year, 6,500 Indian tourists made the pilgrimage to Mansarovar Kailash in four months after China allowed Indian tourists to visit the Kailash from Hilsa. Pilgrims had arrived Simkot for the first time on May 15 last year.
