Kathmandu. The Kaski District Court has ordered the withdrawal of money laundering charge filed against Rastriya Swatantra Party President Rabi Lamichhane, GB Rai and Chhabilal Joshi.

A single bench of District Judge Himlal Belbase has decided to keep the case of cooperative fraud intact. The court has given permission to amend the charge sheet as per Clause 36 of the Civil Criminal Procedure Code, 2074 BS. According to the order, only the charge of cooperative fraud will continue in the case and the claim of organized crime and money laundering will not be maintained.

The court said that the main basis is to get the money back to the aggrieved savers easily and quickly. The order also noted that the process of settlement between the complainant and the defendant and the recovery of the amount owed by the savers should not be complicated.
