Kathmandu. The 126-megawatt Lower Seti Hydropower Project is to be constructed in Tanahun district. According to project chief Hari Kumar Shrestha, the project will be constructed with 227 million US dollars, 30 percent self-capital and 70 percent loan.
The dam of the project lies in Bandipur-6 and Devghat rural municipality-3 of Tanahun district. The powerhouse, staff quarters and main tunnel are located in Devghat Rural Municipality-3 and 4.
Shrestha informed that process has already started to acquire 146 ropanis of land required for the construction of powerhouse and staff quarters.
