Kathmandu. CG Motors has launched its flagship showroom at Thapathali, Kathmandu.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Nirvana Chaudhary, Managing Director of CG Corp Global and Ramon Wang, representative of GAC Ion.

“The showroom was vandalised and set on fire during the Genji protests. I was very sad when this showroom burned down. We had the option of closing down or moving forward by opening another small showroom or how to make the same showroom bigger, newer, more high-tech,” said Chaudhary. Today I am very happy. We have been able to operate a big, excellent, strong showroom. ’

He further added that the company aims to provide customers with state-of-the-art electric vehicles, premium brand experience, great after-sales service and strong charging support.

The company claims that the Ion V is a premium and powerful electric SUV and is designed to provide a long-range driving experience. It is powered by a 75.3 kWh battery that offers a driving range of up to 650 km (NEDC) in the Luxury variant.

Additionally, it is equipped with a 100kW motor, 240 Nm maximum torque and 185 mm of ground clearance, making it suitable for city and long distance travel.

Both the ION Y and ION V represent GAC Motor’s commitment to advanced EV technology, longer driving range, comfortable design, and safety. “The Eion Y is presented as a family-friendly, stylish and comfortable EV, while the Eion V is premium and powerful and long-range electric vehicle,” the company said in a statement.

Currently, CG is providing charging services in more than 260 locations across Nepal and plans to expand its charging network to more locations in the coming days.
