Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has given recommendations for constitution and economic policy. Among the suggestions, the FNCCI has proposed to make the role of the private sector more clear and safe.
The FNCCI has suggested that the constitution should clearly incorporate private sector, public-private partnership and open market economy by revising the present system of socialism-oriented economy.
The FNCCI has also stressed the need to give constitutional recognition to the private sector as the major partner of the nation building, ensure security of investment and business property and create industry-business-friendly environment.
Likewise, the proposal includes establishment of a separate commercial court within the Supreme Court for resolving the trade disputes, systematizing the rights of trade unions in labour and simplifying the multi-tax system at the local level.
