Kathmandu. Of the 45 public enterprises in existence in the fiscal year 2081/82, 27 are in profit, 16 are making losses and two are not closed.
Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wag said this while presenting the Economic Survey for the fiscal year 2082/83 in both houses of the Federal Parliament today.
In the previous fiscal year, 28 were in profit, 15 in loss and two in closed.
As of mid-July 2082, the government had invested Rs 370.25 billion in public enterprises and Rs 428.31 billion respectively.
