Kathmandu. Former Finance Minister Barshaman Pun has said that this government has brought a bloated budget.

He said that the size of the budget is very big. He said that this budget is not realistic. He said that although the shilling fixed by the Planning Commission is around Rs 20 trillion, it has been increased by more than Rs 1.5 trillion.

He said that the Finance Minister is also aware that the size of the budget is unnatural.

He argues that in the past, even in the past, big budgets were brought and real valuation was done in 16-17 trillion rupees.

He said that although the budget talks about giving concessions everywhere, giving grants and increasing the social security sector, it is good that the economy cannot sustain it.

He claimed that the distribution-oriented budget was brought in the past but this time also it was distributed-oriented.

Pun said that the local level elections are approaching and the current popularity and the established parties should not only oppose but also work towards distribution-oriented budget.

According to him, the government has brought a budget that is capable of increasing public opinion at the local level, failed to look at the farms aimed at improving the agriculture sector, failed to create employment for youths, did not have a policy to bring Nepalis living abroad back home and did not have a policy to provide employment to the country.
