Kathmandu. The government has allocated a budget of Rs 29.34 billion for the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) for the coming fiscal year.
Of this amount, Rs 5.55 billion will be spent from government sources and Rs 23.78 billion through foreign grants. According to the ministry, the government spent Rs 2.33 billion for the MCC project in the fiscal year 2081/82.
Similarly, the revised estimate for the current fiscal year 2082/83 is Rs 7.49 billion. According to the ministry, the current cost of the MCC project is estimated to be Rs 1.34 billion and the capital expenditure will be Rs 27.99 billion.
The government has spent Rs 74.9 million in current expenditure and Rs 1.27 billion in foreign grants.
Similarly, the government is estimated to spend Rs 22.51 billion from foreign grants of Rs 5.48 billion out of Rs 27.99 billion allocated for capital expenditure.
