Kathmandu. Prime Minister Balendra Shah has called a meeting of the Council of Ministers today. The meeting has been called for 12 noon.
The meeting will be held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar. The meeting to be held today is likely to appoint the chairman of the Securities Board of Nepal.
A total of 47 people have applied for the post of chairman of the board. The committee has recommended the names of four out of 47 candidates to the Ministry of Finance.
Dr. Simmite. Navraj Adhikari, Vinaydev Acharya, Dr. Gopal Prasad Bhatta and Mukunda Kumar Chhetri have been recommended for the post. However, the government has not been able to appoint the chairman for a long time. This has also raised questions about the government’s financial transparency.
This government has started arguing why we should do it tomorrow if the previous government did not appoint for a long time.
