Govt cuts budget for rail, metro rail, mono rail to Kaligandaki Tinam Diversion Multipurpose Project

Kathmandu. The government has removed the Kaligandaki Tinam Diversion Multipurpose Project from the budget for the coming fiscal year.

The government had allocated Rs 2.79 crore in the current fiscal year. No budget has been allocated for the coming fiscal year.

Similarly, the government has also cut the budget of the Water Resources Research and Development Center. The previous government had allocated Rs 10.73 crore (revised estimate) for the current fiscal year.

The government has also made the Water Resources Research and Development Center without budget through the budget for the coming fiscal year. The government had allocated Rs 10.73 crore for the Centre in the same period of the current fiscal year.

Similarly, the government has not allocated budget for the Railway Department in the upcoming fiscal year. Likewise, no budget has been allocated for rail, metro rail and monorail development projects.
