Nabil Bank Launches Nepal-India-Nepal Cross-Border P2P Remittance Service

Kathmandu. Nabil Bank launches Nepal-India-Nepal Cross-Border Person-to-Person (P2P) remittance service. With this service, customers can send and receive money instantly between Nepal and India through a secure digital medium.

Under this service, Indian citizens having a Nabil Bank account can now use their mobile banking app ‘N-Bank’ to send money instantly to their friends and relatives in India. Similarly, Nabil Bank users residing in Nepal can easily and swiftly send money to both Nepali and Indian citizens.

The service is designed to make cross-border payments simple, secure and convenient for customers of both countries. “This service is an important step towards making cross-border payments faster and smoother. This reflects our commitment towards enhancing digital banking and enhancing customer convenience in both Nepal and India,” said Manoj Kumar Gyawali, CEO of Nabil Bank.

The bank has set limits on the use of services keeping in mind both regulatory provisions and ease. Customers can transfer a maximum of Rs 15,000 per day and up to Rs 1 lakh per month while remitting money from Nepal to India. Similarly, the remittance from India to Nepal can be up to Rs 2 lakhs per day.

This service has been implemented by Nepal Clearing House Ltd. in collaboration with Unified Payments Interface (UPI) in Nepal to ensure a safe and secure digital transaction between the two countries.

Nabil Bank has been providing banking services through 266 branches and 318 ATMs across the country. The bank has been providing banking services to more than 25 lakh customers and looks forward to working together with all its stakeholders.

The bank, which has been providing quality banking services for the past four decades, has recently adopted the concept of sustainable banking and brought into operation NBANK for digital banking.
