Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is to provide youth-centred self-employment programme, entrepreneurship development and concessional loan for employment generation.
This is stated in the policy and program of the fiscal year 2083/084. “Targeted class-friendly empowerment programme will be implemented for the development of women, children, senior citizens, indigenous nationalities, persons with disabilities, Dalits, unprotected persons, gender and sexual minority, single women, martyr’s families and other backward communities,” said Acting Mayor Sunita Dangol in the first meeting of the 19th session of the municipal assembly. It will be institutionalized.
Health and counseling services will be provided free of cost to the senior and disabled citizens at the doorstep of the senior and disabled citizens. Nutrition allowance will be provided to senior citizens above 75 years of age and residents with complete disability. ’
Similarly, the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) would implement the message of ‘City of Humanity’ by effectively implementing the declaration of Kathmandu as a human-free country dependent on roads in need of assistance through coordination and collaboration with the partner agencies and KMC would make arrangements to certify the modern and traditional knowledge, skills and arts and issue certificates.
“Water containers will be established to provide water to birds by conducting bird-friendly practices in localities, schools, parks and communities in the metropolitan area,” the policy and program states. The young generation will be considered as the carriers of good governance and will be supported as per their suggestions and needs. ’
