Kathmandu. The Special Court is set to conduct hearing on the case of businessmen Deepak Bhatta and Sulav Agrawal today.

A full bench of Chairman of the Special Court Sudarshan Dev Bhatta and Justices Umesh Koirala and Bidur Koirala will present their statements in the case today. Detention arguments will follow the statement.

After the detention hearing, the court will order that he be sent to custody or released on bail.

He was remanded in judicial custody on Monday after his statement was not completed. Bhatta has

been charged Rs 26.63 billion for money laundering.

Deepak Bhatta was arrested on April 19 in connection with the money laundering case. Sulav Agrawal, the proprietor of Shankar Group, was arrested on April 22.

A case has been filed against them on the charge of money laundering by misappropriating money of companies including Himalayan Re-Insurance.

Deepak Bhatta, promoter of Shankar Group, Sulav Agrawal, Shankar Lal Agrawal, Sandip Chachan Agrawal and Amit Mor have been named as defendants in the money laundering case. Sandeep Chachan is the chairman of broker number 55 of the broking company.
