Bagmati Province Budget: 50% discount on land purchased for productive and IT industries

Bagmati. The Bagmati Province government has decided to give 50 percent discount on the land purchased for the establishment of manufacturing and information technology industries in the budget allocated for the fiscal year 2083/84.

Presenting the budget for the fiscal year TAG_OPEN_div_22 2083/84 in the Bagmati Province Assembly on Monday, Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Prabhat Tamang said that the government will provide this exemption.

50 percent discount has been given on the land purchased for the establishment of manufacturing and information technology industries except domestic tobacco, jaggery, paan pollen and liquor industries.

The budget has stated that the government has decided to give 50 per cent discount on the registration fee levied while purchasing land from the industries establishing or expanding production-based industries and providing direct employment to more than 300 people.TAG_OPEN_div_18

Provision has been made for complete waiver of all fees and fees in the deed that is owned in the name of the dependent families of the martyrs and disappeared persons of the People’s Movement, Armed Struggle and Madhes Movement. Similarly, 25 percent discount has been given on the land registration fee in the name of persons with disabilities, Dalits, backward communities, minorities and marginalized persons.

Women and senior citizens above 70 years of age and children have been given 25 percent discount on the land registration fee.TAG_OPEN_div_14 Similarly, a 35 per cent discount on registration fee has been provided for the ownership of the land in the name of a single woman and 35 per cent discount on the registration fee for the land under the jurisdiction of the rural municipality.

Minister Tamang said that the registration fee, service charge and withholding fee of land purchased by landless, freed Kamaiyas and freed Haliya families through subsidized loans and grants have been completely waived.TAG_OPEN_div_12
