Kailali. The Sudurpaschim Province government is all set to launch the ‘Pokhoun Pasina Deshmere Hainse’ campaign in the coming fiscal year 2083/84.
Minister for Economic Affairs Bikram Singh Dhami presented the budget for the coming fiscal year in the State Assembly on Monday.
Minister Dhami said that the programme is being organized with the objective of respecting skills, labour and creativity in the country. He said that youth entrepreneurship development programme would be launched targeting the youths who have studied agriculture and returned from abroad to promote entrepreneurship by increasing the attraction of youths in the agriculture sector.
A budget of Rs 20.5 million has been allocated for the programme. The state government will also give continuity to the campaign ‘I am young, let me grow, not child marriage, let me study’. A budget of Rs 10 million has been allocated to run a campaign against child marriage to give continuity to this campaign.
The provincial government will run free livelihood programs for the empowerment and modern upliftment of the targeted groups including the poor, Dalits, freed Kamaiyas, freed Kamalaris, freed tillias, people with disabilities and single women.
Minister Dhami said that Rs 36 million has been allocated for the implementation of free livelihood programme. The Sudurpaschim Province government has allocated a budget of Rs 37.70 billion for the fiscal year 2083/84.
