UML leader Gyawali addresses RSP general convention: Democracy will be weak if judiciary and presidential institutions are weak

Kathmandu. CPN-UML leader Yubaraj Gyawali congratulated Rabi Lamichhane for his election as the president and Balendra Shah as the senior leader of the Rastriya Samajwadi Party (RSP).

He urged the people to be aware of the problems if the overwhelming mandate of the RSP is not properly utilized. He said that the people’s mandate of the RSP should be firm on national independence.

“If the judiciary is weak, the institution of the president is weak and democracy is weak, its impact will not be good,” he said. He said that some of the works of the RSP seem to have been mismatched as per the promise. He warned that if the brakes and accelerator are not operated in the vehicle, there will be an accident.
