Kathmandu. Digo OTT, a subsidiary of DishHome Digital Pvt. Ltd., claims to be the first platform to get an OTT license in Nepal, expanding its digital presence internationally.

According to the company, DIGO OTT marks a significant step towards integrating Nepal’s digital entertainment industry with the international market by acquiring the global OTT streaming rights.

DIGO OTT has been providing a wide range of digital entertainment content including movies, web series, television shows, live streams, sports, documentaries, and children’s content on a subscription-based platform.

Similarly, the company has obtained permission from the Department of Information and Broadcasting under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of Nepal to operate the OTT service as per the prevailing broadcasting regulations.

According to the company, the license and the global streaming rights further strengthen the legal, technical and commercial credibility of DIGO OTT. This has laid the foundation for Nepali OTT platforms to be competitive in the international digital entertainment market.
