Kathmandu. Diesel has been imported in the first 11 months of the current fiscal year.
According to the Department of Customs, diesel worth Rs 152.67 billion was imported in the first 11 months from mid-July to mid-June. During this period, 12.64 lakh kiloliters of diesel was imported.
The second place in the list of most imports is the raw material of soybean oil. According to the Department, raw materials worth Rs 119.63 billion were imported in the first 11 months of the current fiscal year. During this period, 72.64 million liters of copper oil was imported.
Similarly, petrol is the third most imported commodity during this period. During this period, 6.85 lakh kiloliters of petrol worth Rs 68.17 billion was imported.
Similarly, 1.22 billion kg of sponge iron worth Rs 53.69 billion was imported in the first 11 months of the country. Likewise, 475.9 million kg of LPG worth Rs 52.21 billion was imported.
According to the report made public by the Department of Customs, goods worth Rs 1.894 trillion were imported in the 11 months of the current fiscal year from July to May. Compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year, the import has increased by 15.16 percent. The country had imported Rs 1.644 trillion in the same period of the previous fiscal year.
