People’s trust in organization will increase only when people are happy: Minister Timilsina

Kathmandu. Also speaking on the occasion, Minister for Information and Communications Dr Bikram Timilsina stressed on the need to work in a democracy in a way to make the people happy. After inspecting the District Post Office today, he said that the trust in the institution would increase only when the people are happy.

“Trust grows only when people are happy, and importance of your work increases only when people’s trust increases,” he said. According to him, if the organization is not strong, the job of the workers in the organization will not be secure. “The rights and interests of every employee working in this organization should be protected,” he said, adding, “We talked about democracy but weakened the institution.

Directing the employees, Minister Timilsina said, “You should think about who you are working for. Stating that the postal institution carries history, he said that the institution is not as per the history. Stating that the meaning of the postal post office in developed countries was not endless, he said, “The importance of the postal service is still seen in the developed countries. Stating that it would be safer to send some things through the post office, Minister Timilsina stressed on the need to create a situation where people should take pride in working in the postal service.

Minister Timilsina stressed that the letter and parcel should reach safely and urged them to understand the importance of time. “No matter what the goods are, they should arrive safely and on time,” he said. Stating that when you started your job and now the importance of time is increasing, he said that there was a time when people did not complain even if any work was done in 10 days, now they do complain even when they are late by a day.

Minister Timilsina advised the service recipients to serve with a smile and said that a situation should be created to be proud that they were postal employees in their retired life. “There is chaos everywhere, corruption is rampant and the service recipients are not satisfied, in what sense can the government increase services and facilities from the people’s revenue?” he asked.

Chief of the District Post Office, Chitwan, Shalikram Basyal, apprised the public about the progress and problems of the office.
