Kathmandu. The stock market closed lower on Wednesday. On Wednesday, the NEPSE index decreased by 14.45 points to close at 2660.02 points. Likewise, the Sensitive Float Index decreased by 2.60 points, while the Float Index decreased by 0.98 points and the Sensitive Float Index decreased by 0.83 points.

Although the stock market fell today, the amount of transaction has improved compared to Tuesday. Shares worth Rs 4.36 billion were traded in the market on Tuesday and Rs 4.41 billion was traded on Wednesday.

Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of two sub-groups have increased while the indices of 11 sub-groups have fallen. The indices of the finance and trade sub-groups increased marginally today. The production and processing sub-group index decreased the most by 1.10 percent on the day.

Shares of Taksar Pikhuwa Khola Hydropower and Yambaling Hydropower Ltd were trading in the positive circuit today. Ankhu Khola Hydropower Company Ltd topped the list on the basis of turnover today. The company’s shares worth Rs 29.62 crore were traded today.
