Lumbini Tech signs MoU with Radiant College to transform technology education in Nepal

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Lumbini Tech Innovation Centre (Lumbini) and Radiant College have signed a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to further strengthen the local technology ecosystem.

The main objective of this partnership is to bridge the gap between traditional academic teaching and the needs of the rapidly changing information technology industry.

By integrating Radiant College’s strong academic foundation and Lumbini Tech’s practical industry experience, this initiative aims to empower local youth, build a skilled IT workforce in Lumbini Province and provide students with skills suitable for the digital age.

The agreement will mainly focus from theoretical learning to practical and project-based learning. Modern technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Software Engineering will be incorporated into the academic curriculum as per the demand of the IT industry.

Lumbini Tech will arrange internships for students and engage them directly in real professional and community technical projects.

Technical cooperation will be carried out in the development and operation of modern laboratories and infrastructures, state-of-the-art software and AI labs.

Mentorship and Faculty Development: Special classes will be conducted in the college by experts from the corporate sector and faculty development programs will be organized for the professors as per the demand of the market.

Scholarships and Incentives: Special financial grants and scholarships will be arranged for excellent, innovative and meritorious students.

The agreement was signed by Dhan Bahadur Rana, Founder Chairman of Lumbini Tech Innovation Center and Ananta Pandey, Principal of Radiant College.

“Our main objective is to create sustainable and skilled manpower at the local level. By teaching students technical roadmaps and real-market working styles, we will help them ensure a successful career and not just a certificate,” said Dhan Bahadur Rana, Founder Chairman of Lumbini Tech.

According to Ananta Pandey, Principal of Radiant College, the inclusion of industry-relevant modules and project-based learning in the curriculum will give the college students a competitive advantage in the market as soon as they complete their studies.
