Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP)’s week-long general convention: Trade worth over Rs 500 million

Chitwan. The first general convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is estimated to have resulted in transactions worth more than Rs 500 million in Chitwan and its surrounding areas.

} Hotels, restaurants and tourist areas of the district were bustling with delegates, observers and well-wishers from all over the country for about a week.

} The general convention that was inaugurated on Sunday is concluding today. Hotels were filled with delegates and observers from Saturday. According to Rajan Gautam, coordinator of the Accommodation and Food Management Sub-Committee, the business has crossed Rs 500 million in a week. Gautam, who is also the former president of the Chitwan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that around Rs 20 million was spent by the representatives, observers and well-wishers on the housing project. According to him, up to 20,000 people stayed in Chitwan in a single day.
