Kathmandu. The influence of monsoon wind is present in Koshi, Madhes and Bagmati provinces, some parts of Gandaki province and up to eastern parts of Lumbini province. In other parts of the country, there will be some influence of the Westerly and local winds.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, monsoon is likely to expand in the remaining areas of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, and in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces within the next three to four days. The Tarai area of the Sudurpaschim Province is mainly clear at present while the remaining parts of the country are partly cloudy. Light rain is taking place at one or two places of Koshi, Bagmati and Sudurpaschim provinces.

The weather will be generally cloudy throughout the country today. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of the hilly and mountainous region while moderate rain along with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of the eastern and central regions of the western region. There are chances of heavy rain in one or two places of the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi province. Thunderstorm is likely to occur at some places of Tarai and Madhes province of Koshi Province.

The weather will be generally cloudy throughout the country tonight as well. Light rain or snowfall is likely to occur at many places of Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province and at few places of hilly region. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there will be generally cloudy in the hilly region of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and at one or two places of the mountainous region.

Likewise, moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of Madhes and Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces. Light rain will occur in some places of the hilly and hilly regions of Koshi Province while heavy rainfall is predicted at one or two places of Madhes Province.

Thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds is likely to occur at some places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and at some places of Madhesh province.

The Division has urged the people in the areas where there is prediction of gusty winds and heavy rain to take necessary precautions.
