Kathmandu. The House of Representatives has endorsed the Bill to Mobilize National Debt, 2083. The meeting unanimously passed the proposal tabled by Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle seeking its endorsement.
Responding to the queries raised during the clause-wise discussion on the bill, Finance Minister Wagle said that the budget would be spent in productive projects after taking loan. “Foreign loans are earmarked for infrastructure projects, which work to make economic activities smoother, shorten distance and reduce costs,” he said, adding, “But the situation of two international airports constructed by taking loans has shown a different scenario. ”
Prior to this, Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal had presented the amendment on the bill for a decision in the meeting. Parshuram Tamang and Rekha Kumari Yadav had rejected the amendment proposal put forth by the HoR while lawmaker Hari Prasad Bhusal withdrew his amendment. The meeting of the House of Representatives will take place after 15 minutes today itself
