Wild elephant destroys 6 houses in Udayapur

Udaipur. A wild elephant has entered Chaudandigadhi Municipality-7, Kumang Lamachaur area and created a ruckus.

Ganesh Bam, information officer at the District Police Office, informed that wild elephants entered Kumang and destroyed 6 houses last night. According to police, the elephants demolished the houses of locals Buddhiman Rai, Radha BK, Roshan BK, Bam Bahadur BK, Bir Bahadur Magar and Dil Bahadur Magar.

Similarly, the elephant has also eaten the grains of the locals’ houses. Pushpa Rai, a local, said that the locals saved their lives after the elephant entered the village at night. The Chaudandigadhi Municipality has made arrangements for safe shelter for the locals whose houses were destroyed by elephants.

The herd of elephants entered from Koshi Tappu area was found in the forests around Lamachuri and 45 Chowk. A police team has been deployed for the security of the villagers, said information officer Bam.
