Movement of cargo vehicles banned in Rasuwagadhi

Rasuwa. Rasuwagadhi: The movement of public cargo vehicles has been banned for two days from the Miteri Bridge at Rasuwagadhi, the northern border point of Nepal.

The bridge was installed immediately after the flood swept away the bridge on July 7 last year. Chief District Officer of Rasuwa, Rajesh Panthi, said that the vehicular operation has been halted today and tomorrow to test whether or not vehicles would be allowed to ply from the Bailey Bridge during the rainy season.

CDO Panthi made it clear that there would not be any inconvenience to the locals and passengers of Mansarovar Kailash. The Chinese security forces have banned only cargo vehicles entering Nepal from Kerung and Kerung from Nepal.

Police Inspector of Area Police Office, Timure, Bikram Kunwar said that the bridge will come into operation after the completion of technical test.
