Minister inspects NTC Sundhara office, directs them to provide fast, easy and quality service to service seekers

. Minister for Information and Communications, Dr Bikram Timilsina, has directed Nepal Telecom to make customer-friendly, fast and efficient quality service delivery.

Minister for Communications and Information Technology Dr Timilsina inspected the Business Support System (BSS) Department and Telecommunications Office under Nepal Telecom’s Information Technology Directorate in Sundhara today.TAG_OPEN_div_26

During the inspection, Manager of Nepal Telecom, Shalikram Subedi, informed about the works being carried out through the Information Technology Directorate and the billing system of Telecom.TAG_OPEN_div_24  On the occasion, Minister Timilsina enquired about billing system, customer management and information technology-based service delivery. After that, he inspected the telecommunication office in Sundhara and interacted directly with the service recipients who came to receive the service.

Customer experience related to getting a new SIM card, bill payment, e-SIM service, telephone and internet service. The service recipients said that they did not have to stand in queue for long to get service at the office and got service relatively quickly.

After the inspection, Minister for Communications and Information Technology Dr. Timilsina directed Nepal Telecom to provide easy, fast and quality service to the service seekers.TAG_OPEN_div_20 He also directed to effectively implement the provision of keeping the personal details of the customers in the database securely and to end the situation of submitting the same documents again and again once the details are updated.

On the occasion, Chief of Sundhara Telecom’s Office, Nirmal Raj Chataut said that a system has been developed to provide online services like new SIM distribution, update of KYC, register complaints, track the status of complaints, fee payment and other services as per the goal of making the service completely digital.TAG_OPEN_div_18

The online application system has been implemented for obtaining the SIM

} and after applying online, the customer can get the SIM from the service center of his/her choice and for e-SIM the customer does not need to visit the office and the service can be availed online.

He also informed that a ‘one stop service’ has been established by establishing a ‘front help desk’ to provide all services to the service seekers from one place.TAG_OPEN_div_14 After the inspection of the office, Minister for Communications and Information Dr. Timilsina directed Nepal Telecom to pay special attention to ensure quality service, customer satisfaction, and personal details security along with the expansion of modern service for customers.
