Landslide clearance equipment ready on Narayangadh-Muglin road section

Kathmandu. Landslide debris along the Narayangadh-Muglin road section has been kept on standby for removing landslides. The Road Division Office, Bharatpur has kept the necessary equipment ready along the Muglin-Narayangadh road section and Kaligandaki corridor in view of the possible risk of landslides during the monsoon.

Chief of the office, Senior Divisional Engineer Narayan Lamichhane said the equipment has been placed keeping in mind the possibility of obstruction of vehicular movement due to landslides during the rainy season. According to him, a loader is stationed at Muglin Camp, an excavator, a loader and a backloader at Seti Dovan Camp. Similarly, a backloader has been kept on standby in the premises of the Road Division Office and a loader has been kept on standby in the Kaligandaki corridor.

He said that equipment operators have been put on standby with the objective of operating the vehicular movement smoothly by removing the road disruption due to landslides. The Narayangadh-Muglin road section is frequently obstructed due to landslides and dry landslides during the rainy season. More than 10,000 vehicles pass through this road every day.
