Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) and Brihat Group have signed a two-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote entrepreneurship, innovation, business expansion and investment promotion.
The MoU was signed by Roshan Bhoyadayo, president of Physical Infrastructure and Land Reform Committee of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Deden Lama Rajbhandari, founder and CEO of Brihat Group.
According to the agreement, the two organizations will jointly conduct programs to promote entrepreneurship, develop startups and start-ups, expand business network, mentorship, capacity building and create investment opportunities throughout the country.
Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) will be conducting public awareness and outreach programmes in five places of the country and a special entrepreneurship program will be held on the occasion of the ninth Nepal Land, Housing and Construction Expo.
Megapreneurs will conduct orientation, business development training, business clinics, incubation, mentorship, networking and venture support programs for participating entrepreneurs. In addition, membership, partnerships, co-working facilities and business expansion opportunities will be provided.
As per the agreement, a total of 300 entrepreneurs, startups, and entrepreneurs will participate in at least six entrepreneurship and networking events over the next two years. As per the agreement, Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) will also collaborate with the youth committee.
Nepal Chamber of Commerce president Kamalesh Kumar Agrawal expressed his confidence that this collaboration would contribute in promoting entrepreneurship, promoting investment and empowering the private sector.
Stating that the initiative of Big Promoters to bring entrepreneurs, innovators, start-ups and investors under a common platform was timely, he said that collaboration among the private sector would further strengthen job creation, innovation and economic activities.
On the occasion, Founder of Brihat Preneurs and Executive Chairman of Brihat Group, Dr. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Om Rajbhandari stressed on implementing not only the idea but also the implementation of the new culture of entrepreneurship in Nepal.
Rajbhandari said that the organization has been developed as a venture-building ecosystem that connects entrepreneurs, experts, businesses and investors. Vice President of Nepal Chamber of Commerce Dipak Shrestha and President of Youth Committee of Nepal Chamber of Commerce Dipesh Ratna Tuladhar were present on the occasion.
